DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to share practical safety tips and techniques to reduce the potential for dangerous encounters in ensuring participant’s safety and security.

OBJECTIVES: At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Explain the process that a violent person goes through in identifying potential victims
  2. Demonstrate a practical understanding of personal safety and security
  3. Become aware of their personal roles in safety and security
  4. Establish a culture of safety and security awareness in their community

TARGET AUDIENCE: General public

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES    3 Hours      

Upon completion of this workshop, participates are competent when they are able to:

  1. Identify the crime triangle
  2. Analyze the psychology of a criminal
  3. Create their own safe space
  4. Create safe communities
  5. Identify the different types of laws governing safety in Jamaica
