BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT (Sept. 11 – Dec. 11)
The Business Environment course provides acceptance and exemptions from the Associateship of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) programme.
The Business Environment course provides a broad knowledge of the environment in which businesses operate, an understanding of the economic, ethical operation and financial framework with particular application to the transaction of insurance business.. Students will appreciate insurance in the world economy, the business organizations and their financial process.
THIS COURSE COVERS FOUR (4) BROAD AREAS NAMELY:
– The Nature of Risk and Uncertainty
– Risk Assessment Techniques
– Ways in which Risk is Measured
– The Way Insurance Operates
Regional Focus – Pursue your option for insurance job throughout the Caribbean.
Insurance Personnel – Working in insurance and non-insurance capacities.
Career in Insurance – Persons hoping to pursue a career in insurance.
Student Dedication – Starting a new carrier path.
Career Placement – Persons interested in pursuing the Associateship of Chartered Insurance Institute designation.
HIGH SCHOOL LEAVERS:
Applicants must have passes in at least four (4) subjects at the GCE Ordinary Level or CXC General Proficiency in English Language, Mathematics (or a Mathematical subject) and any other three (3) subjects.
CHANGE OF CAREER & JOB EXPERIENCE:
Twenty-five (25) yeas of age have passes in GCE/CXC/CSEC Mathematics and English Language or a Mathematical subject.
